Established in the South-East of France, EDMA has the will to manufacture in France a growing number of products and to register its activity in a global approach of sustainable development. EDMA tools are designed in a permanent search for innovation and quality to provide real solutions to the needs of constructors in their daily work, all over the world. They are also designed to save time and effort for their users.

A RANGE OF PROFESSIONAL
TOOLS SINCE 1937

The first nibbler, was created by engineer Pierre Gréhal in 1950. It has been joined over the years, in the EDMA catalog, by many other tools intended for building constructors and craftsmen.

Today, the EDMA offer includes over 900 hand tools.

They are dedicated to drywallers, painters, tilers, floor installers, roofers, facade installers, masons, landscapers.

The hand tools offered for these different professions specifically meet the needs of the constructor in the different phases of his work sites.

FRENCH MANUFACTURING AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
FOR EDMA TOOLS

FRENCH HAND TOOLS

In 2020, EDMA joined the French Fab, a label that embodies an "innovative, exporting French industry open to change". In line with these qualifications that characterize it, EDMA has relocated in France, at the end of 2022, part of its production on a site of 6300 m² based in Puget sur Argens, in the Var. This new building, whose construction was granted a subsidy under the France Relance Plan, gave EDMA the opportunity to install new machines allowing the resumption of a certain amount of know-how related to the manufacture of an ever-increasing number of tools "Made in EDMA".

RESPONSIBLE TOOLING

This will of EDMA is also part of a global sustainable development approach to limit and reduce the carbon footprint of its production.

With this same goal in mind, the packaging of many products has been redesigned to significantly reduce the use of plastic in favor of recyclable cardboard.

Many EDMA tools have one or more parts that can be replaced. This gives users the opportunity to make their EDMA tools last longer and to reduce waste production. This offer of all EDMA spare parts is permanently available in the online store on the EDMA website.

INNOVATION AND QUALITY FOR USEFUL AND EFFICIENT TOOLS

outil-main-francais.jpg

The search for innovation is at the heart of tool manufacturing at EDMA. Indeed, the R&D department registers more than 8 patents per year. They are the result of rigorous work on the materials and technologies that integrate the tools.

EDMA also cultivates a close relationship with the users of its products. This allows EDMA to gather their needs and feedback to feed the design of ever more efficient tools.

This proximity also makes EDMA involved to develop tools that are real "time and effort saving" solutions for constructors, sometimes working alone on a site and with increasingly busy days.

Quality is of course present at each stage of the design and manufacturing of EDMA tools. These tools have various certifications testifying a permanent concern in this field:

- NF - EN ISO 2001 / DIN EN ISO 14001-2015 (quality management systems)
- LNE CERTIFICATE: compliance with the requirements of Directive 2014/32/EU, Module D1 on the manufacturing of materialized length measurements.
- Membership in the eco-organization ECOLOGIC in charge of the collection and treatment of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

CORPORATE RESPONSIBLITY

TOOLS EXPORTED
ALL OVER THE WORLD

EDMA is very present in many tool stores in France but also has a strong export culture. Moreover, in 2020, it obtained the "Authorized Economic Operator" (AEO) approval which allows it to facilitate and secure its exchanges at the international customs level.

EDMA's products are recognized by users on all five continents and EDMA's tools are shipped to no less than 70 countries on a daily basis.

EDMA sales and logistics departments are fully able and organized to respond to all requests in different languages.

EDMA's tools respond to a wide range of problems faced by building constructors. And first of all, they answer the most fundamental ones: which tool to choose? Which tools for tiling? Which tools for the drywaller ?... etc. Or simply how to store your tools...
EDMA has solutions and answers to bring on all these topics.
